Meet Tig
My name is John “Tig” Tiegen. I am a husband, a dad, a Marine, and a proud Colorado Springs resident.
Most people know me from Benghazi and the book 13 Hours. That experience didn’t make me special — it made me accountable. When pressure hits, you don’t hide, you don’t blame, and you don’t make excuses. You solve the problem and you own the outcome.
My Promise
I am not running to be liked. I am running to do the job. If we fail, it is on me. If we win, it is because we did the work.
If you want common sense leadership in City Hall, join this campaign today.
Colorado Springs should be a city of owners, not lifelong renters. I will push for smaller, attainable homes, make growth pay for its own infrastructure, and stop City Hall from prioritizing developer profit over working families who want to build equity here.
I will run public safety on clear monthly metrics that every resident can see. If response times or crime trends are not improving, we change what we are doing until they do.
My promise is discipline. If spending is not tied to measurable results, it gets cut or rebuilt. If a contract cannot show value and performance, it does not renew.
We run the city like adults. We cut waste, track performance, and respect taxpayers. No games.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
